The Founder Story Lab helps founders and directors of mission-driven businesses and programs transform their personal story into strategic assets that drive visibility, funding, and partnerships.

What’s Included
The Founder Story Lab combines personal reflection, guided writing, and strategic coaching. It’s designed for busy founders and directors who want meaningful progress without added overwhelm. Stories can be developed in English or Spanish.
In 3 months, you’ll receive:
Three private coaching sessions to record, transcribe, and revise your story with personalized feedback.
Sessions are 60 minutes long and include time to strategize, record parts of your story, and discuss revisions. Rachel will follow up with an annotated transcript and summary notes for revision.
All recordings will be transcribed by humans via GoTranscript.com at no additional cost to you.
Monthly co-working sessions via Zoom for accountability, inspiration, and focused time to work on your story.
Writing prompts and guided reflection tools that are actionable and low-stress to help you translate your story into materials that strengthen visibility, funding, and partnerships.
These prompts will be shared every other week with short voice messages that you can listen to on a walk or while enjoying your morning coffee/tea.
Two (2) additional rounds of asynchronous feedback as you develop your story (sent via email or Google docs).
By the end of the Lab, you’ll:
Reconnect with your “why” and communicate it in a way that inspires others to act.
Identify key quotes and talking points that are at the ready for social media content or future launches or proposals.
Step confidently into visibility as the leader of your organization or business.
Have two (2) versions of a clear, compelling Founder Story ready for funding, partnership, or marketing opportunities.
Have full transcripts of recorded content about your story with notes for future speaking or writing.

About Rachel
Hi! I’m Rachel and I’m the founder of Confianza Collective. In 2024, I left my tenured faculty job after almost a decade as a writing professor to build a bilingual storywork studio focused on supporting mission-driven leaders and organizations. This move started a new chapter for my consulting practice, which began in 2021, and builds on my experience working closely with promotores de salud (health promoters) and community organizations on capacity building, interview projects, and digital storytelling.
I’m also a mom of two boys who became a parent and business owner amid the early days of the Covid pandemic. I have always been interested in the intersection of storytelling, community engagement, and social justice. But like many other founders, I would often spend more time talking about the programs I built and the people I served rather than who I was in relation to it all. I realized that confidently sharing my story was essential to moving that work forward.
